Goodbye Australia!

After a solid week of Jasper blog video goodness, we're wrapping up Jasper and Mummy's 11-day trip with a final few videos.

Jasper's first tram ride

Trams are a regular mode of transportation in Melbourne, but not for a little guy like this, for whom it's all brand new. You can tell by the wideness in his eyes.




Ah, but how quickly fascination turns into disinterest and actual sleep ...

At Abi's

Jasper seen in his new classic pose, with one hand in mouth and other hand on ear. Also, looking suspicious about potential interactions with other children. But Mummy reports that he has indeed become an early fan of trucks.

The allure of foreign toys

Literally foreign, in that they're from Australia, but figuratively foreign in that they don't belong to him.

I love that look of surprise when the music comes on, and he checks in with Mummy to make sure everything's alright.

At the Marks-Savilles

Mummy's friend Bryony held a tea at her house on Sunday of their visit, in honor of their visit. Her husband Matt and various friends and friends' offspring are also present.

At the Creswell-Whites

One of Mummy's oldest friends is Penny, so she and Jasper spent some time with Penny and her lovely family: Simon (the adult) and Felix (the oldest, Mummy's godson), Dominic (the middle child) and Ellery (the youngest, not pictured). Felix is the one who gives Jasper a kiss on the cheek.
