Puerto Vallarta, Day 1!

Hello everyone! Sorry for the long drought, but we were in Puerto Vallarta from last Friday to this past Wednesday. And our excuse for not posting something since Wednesday when we got back ... content overload!

Yep, we took a ton of video and pictures on our trip, and so we're going to post a couple of each, every day, until we run through the greatest hits of what we have. We'll try to go for more or less one day's worth of photos/videos per one day on the blog, which should keep us occupied until about Friday.

Jasper's day of excitement in the airports and airplanes (he was very good and beloved by all) leads to a crash nap as we're taken to our room at the Marival Residences ...

Jasper at Chuck E. Cheese

Jasper's friend Jake -- well, they'll be friends once they're old enough to be properly introduced -- turned three last week, and to celebrate, had a party at Chuck E. Cheese this past Saturday. Jasper was mostly a bystander, but he did get involved in a couple ways ...

Swimming lessons!

Not long after we moved into our new place, we noticed that there were a very large number of happy parents and children congregating around the front door of our across-the-street neighbors. After some sleuthing, Mummy discovered that the woman who lives there gives swimming lessons to babies. Sound crazy? Nope -- you get them accustomed to water now, they won't fear it later, and more importantly, will be able to stay calm in potential water-related emergencies.

Now that the weather is getting warmer and Jasper is more than seven months old, we inquired about enrolling. The price was very reasonable, so Friday was our first class of six -- Daddy has gotten permission to take a long lunch every Friday so he can come too. We think we just may have a water baby here ...

Jasper's first wedding

Jasper accompanied his mummy and daddy to see their friends Dave and Lauren get married this past Saturday in nearby Palos Verdes. The original intention was to have Jasper stay with a babysitter, but that fell through, so we just brought him along. We won't say he was a total angel -- he did get cranky as it got past his bedtime -- but he didn't make a peep during the ceremony, which is what Mummy and Daddy were most concerned about. Instead, he occupied himself with the flowering blossoms on the tree behind Mummy's shoulder, as you will see.

Birthday tickles

Okay, in no shape or form is it Jasper's birthday. But every 25th of the month we think of it as another milestone, and today Jasper is seven months old. For the occasion, he was tickled relentlessly.

High-intensity kicking

You've seen Jasper kick before. Well, it just gets more intense with every day. One of these days he's going to flip his "bouncy chair."

I'm sleeping! I'm eating! I'm ... um ... sleating!
